The Hours of Monsaraz
In Monsaraz, in the middle of the 16th century, two men compete for primacy over the town: the judge and the parish priest. Although the dispute is motivated by a tower clock, this conflict soon spreads across the region, attracting the dark attention of a newly power in Portugal: the Inquisition. And what was just a local dispute soon ends in tragedy...
“A fascinating story.”
Albert von Brunn, magazine Orientierung, Switzerland – 2002
